Counseling Overview

Seasons Life Coaching and Counseling uses Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Talk therapy,  Supportive therapy, Exposure therapy, grief therapy, and relaxation training. 

We treat anxiety (including panic and phobia) and depressive disorders, as well as, aid in grief support, relationship support, work related concerns, etc.

The basic tenant of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy is that individuals employ unhelpful and faulty thought patterns that contribute to mental discomfort (anger, depression, anxiety, etc) which then contribute to unhelpful behavior patterns.

Treatment using CBT involves individuals learning the relationship between thoughts, feelings, and behaviors and learning to recognize their control and responsibility to unhelpful patterns. Tools are taught to aid clients is developing healthier thought patterns contributing to mental wellness and , subsequently,helpful behavior patterns.

Clients often report feeling better after just the first session with most completing goals withing the first three to six months of therapy.

Sessions are fifty minutes and scheduled as directed by client or based on therapist recommendations.
